I created Eco Maui when we lived in Hawaii because I was concerned about the many threats I saw to the fragile environment there. Eco Maui focuses on eco tours of Maui, stressing the Hawaiian idea of Ho'omalu, to protect.

Econo Maui for the financially challenged

My daughter Jasmine, who was in the third grade at the time, suggested that if I made Eco Maui, I should also make Econo Maui, which would help people like us, or the economically challenged, enjoy visiting Hawaii too. Turns out that not spending money in Hawaii kind of forces you to be ecologically sound.
